Rental Frequently Asked Questions



We use the brands you trust at home: Foundation Cribs, Baby Trend and Graco Car Seats, Graco High Chairs, Eddie Bauer, Schwinn and Baby Trend Strollers, and Graco Pack N Plays. 

Our extensive inventory represents equipment that is tough enough to handle the demands of being rented and being continuously cleaned and sanitized. Babies-n-Town is fully insured for customer satisfaction and reassurance.


How do I place an order?

Please call us at 800-294-6388 or order on line at www.babies-n-town.com. Payments are accepted via all major credit cards. A credit card number is required to hold your reservation and will be authorized at time of order.


What is your delivery fee?

Delivery is $15 for orders less than $45. Delivery is FREE for orders over $45. There is a $10 shipping & handling for all orders. Delivery includes set-up and take-down of your items. Once the delivery is made and there is a request for additional items or items to be changed out from original order. If changes are made due to faulty equipment or equipment that needs repair, no fee applies. Or, if customer decides to cancel any part or full order after delivery is made, customer will be offered store credit only. We do not refund after delivery. If you need to exchange equipment for anything other than malfunction, new rental charge will be applied as well as shipping & handling charges.


What are your delivery hours?

We generally deliver and pickup between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 7 days a week. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily seven days a week. Please leave a message and we will do our best to return calls within 1 to 2 hours from the time of the call. 


May I pick up the items myself?

At this time, we do not offer self pick-up. To take the stress out of traveling with little ones, our goal is to have your equipment delivered and set up so you won't have to worry about it.


Is all of the equipment cleaned and sanitized prior to delivery?

Yes, every item is inspected and sanitized before and after each rental.


How do I know the equipment is safe?

We carry only quality, brand-name equipment and all of our items are either JPMA, CPSC or ASTM certified. We also continually monitor recall lists of toys and equipment. At this time, our new Foundation cribs with fixed sides do not allow for bumpers, so at this time we do not supply bumpers with our cribs, they can be rented separately based on availability. One fitted sheet is included with all crib, pac n' play, toddler bed and toddler mat rentals.


How large are your cribs? What is included with them?

Our cribs are full size, and come with a 3" mattress. Our compact cribs come with a 4" mattress. The price also includes a fitted sheet. Other rental companies do not provide linens!


Should I wash the linens after the rental period?

No need! We will wash the linens after they are returned.


Is there a minimum time I have to rent the equipment?
Our base rental charges are a per week price, with additional days available. We can however accommodate per night requests, but bear in mind there must be a $45 per order minimum to avoid delivery charges.

 
Can delivery be made prior to my arrival and picked up after my departure?

Absolutely! We will try to accommodate your travel schedule as much as possible. We require as much information as possible regarding location of rental unit/home and location for crib and other rental items within unit. We also deliver your equipment to private residences before your arrival – we simply need a contact name and number. Allow sufficient delivery time and delays due to traffic, weather, truck breakdowns and other unforeseen delays, we try our best to accommodate the customer.


How do you define the rental period?

The rental period is determined by the number of 24-hour periods between the day of delivery and the day of pick-up. As an example, an item delivered on a Saturday and picked up the following Saturday morning would be considered a week rental.


What are the rental terms?

Please review our liability waiver at check out. You will be asked to acknowledge of the waiver prior to check out . Those renting supplies are required to review and accept prior to ordering supplies and time of delivery.


What forms of payment do you accept?

We require payments to be made via: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.


What if I need to cancel my order?

If you need to cancel your order, please notify us as soon as possible. It is requested that cancellations be made within 48 hours from scheduled delivery. Full rental charges will apply if equipment is delivered and no notification of cancellation is made. If the customer decides to cancel any part or full order after delivery is made, customer will be offered only store credit for remaining days not used. No REFUNDS. If you need to exchange equipment for anything other than malfunction, new rental charge will be applied as well as shipping & handling.


May I add additional equipment to my order during my visit?

We will do our best to deliver additional items upon your request, if those items are available. An additional delivery charge may apply, please discuss at time of order.


In what condition should I return the equipment?
All products, bikes and supplies, and all baby rental equipment, must be returned or replacement charges will apply. If lost, stolen or damaged, replacement costs will be charged to the customer. New policy as of 4/1/12 for stolen, lost or damaged equipment - if the equipment is recovered, the customer will be assessed $60 per item charge.
 
We will completely clean the equipment and maintain after your rental. We do ask that you return the equipment wiped free of any crumbs. Please clean any spills or accidents when they occur to prevent permanent damage or stains to the equipment. You do not need to wash the linens prior to pick up. To prevent mildew, please do not place damp linens in a plastic bag. Any damage outside of normal wear and tear or lost or stolen equipment is subject to additional charges.
